New Year, New Momentum: Let’s Start the Work of Thriving Together

1. Thriving Requires Intention, Not Perfection

This new year isn’t about proving yourself—it’s about positioning yourself. Most successful people begin by getting clear on their why. It’s not about showing others who you are; it’s about being strategically aligned so the fruit of your life speaks for itself.

2. Look at the Evidence, Not the Inner Critic

You’ve already survived and accomplished more than your inner critic gives you credit for. Last year, you may have listened to the imposter syndrome whispering, “You don’t have what it takes.” This year, review the receipts—the breakthroughs, the boundaries you honored, the quiet wins—and let those guide your next bold move.

3. Community and Clarity Fuel Momentum

You were never meant to do this alone. Thriving isn’t a solo act—it’s a collective movement. Whether through coaching, therapy, or sisterhood, create safe spaces to be seen and supported. When you move with clarity and connection, momentum builds naturally—and sustainably.

From Striving to Thriving

This year, we’re not starting with striving.

We’re not hustling to become more—we’re learning to be more of who we already are.

Striving says: *You’re not enough yet.*

Thriving says: You’ve always been equipped.

Here’s the truth: you’ve accomplished a lot in 2025—but imposter syndrome had you dim the light on those wins. You survived hard seasons and 2025 for a lot of women was one of them. You overcame internal battles. You helped others while carrying your own burdens. You shifted. You showed up.

This next season isn’t about resolutions—it’s about restoration and recognition.

You don’t need to prove anything. You need to remember everything God already placed inside of you.

Journal Prompt:

Where in 2025 did I thrive—silently? What strengths did I downplay, and how can I honor them as evidence of who I really am?

Write it down. Claim it. Speak it. Walk in it.

If you would like someone to help you identify your strengths, don’t hesitate to give me a call…Nekeshia c/o Meraki Counseling at 832-779-3039.

This New Year, we’re not starting with pressure.

Restoration vs. Resolutions

Resolutions say: Do more. Be better. Try harder.

They often come from a place of perceived lack—like something about you needs to be “fixed.” New Year’s resolutions tend to focus on output or a problem:

  • Lose weight
  • Earn more
  • Work harder

While goals are valuable, resolutions can add pressure, particularly for women facing imposter syndrome. Feeling inadequate may make resolutions seem like evidence of not being enough, leading to a problem-oriented mindset.

🕊️ Restoration says: Return to wholeness.

It’s not about becoming someone else—it’s about reconnecting to who you’ve always been underneath the noise.

Restoration is rooted in:

  • Activating strengths
  • Rediscovering what has always worked for you

A coming home to your voice, your truth, and your identity—before the world told you to doubt it. Don’t believe what culture says, believe what God says about you:

You lack nothing.
You are already equipped.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your purpose is written into your DNA.
I’ve already gone before you.

Don’t spend another year with the same mentality and hearing the same old narratives. I’ve created a self-guided journal that is available right now and invite you to a clearer you in 2026…https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FNCQW2PQ. Die Empty: Unleash Your Gifts and Live on Purpose

Like Dr. Myles Munroe said, “Die empty.” I don’t want to take my gifts to the grave, and I’ve seen too many women with degrees, businesses, and brilliance still feel like they’re not enough.

The Self Discovery to Overcome Imposter Syndrome Journal helps women of color confront the lies, reclaim their voice, and walk in clarity—so nothing God placed in them goes unused.

Don’t enter a new year carrying old doubt.
Step into your purpose boldly.

Behind the Pages: Real Work. Real Growth.

This isn’t just another journal.
Self-Discovery to Overcome Imposter Syndrome is a transformational tool created from the inside out.

Every prompt, every reflection exercise, every word—was born from deep inner work I’ve done myself. I didn’t just write this journal… I lived it.

So when I say it can help you glean insight and transform your life—I’m speaking from experience. It’s a collection of everything I’ve learned about healing, clarity, and confidence wrapped into one powerful resource.

If you’re tired of second-guessing your worth…
If you want to stop shrinking in rooms you were meant to shift…
If you’re ready to silence self-doubt and trust your voice again…

Then this journal was made for you.

Pause this Christmas Eve

As the world quiets down tonight, give yourself the gift that often goes unopened: rest.
You’ve carried a lot this year—expectations, unspoken doubts, silent battles.
Tonight, release it all.
You are enough without performing.
You are worthy without proving.
You are whole, even when you pause.

May peace wrap around you like a warm blanket tonight. You don’t have to earn rest. You deserve it.

Take a moment with your journal tonight and write one thing you’re releasing before the new year begins.
Let this be the start of your restoration…

Discovering My Niche Changed Everything…

At first, I was just following my passion for journaling and helping people. But once I took the time to define my personal calling statement, everything shifted.

I started asking myself:
Who are the clients I feel most energized working with?
The answer was clear—powerful women of color, especially African-American professionals from all walks of life: CEOs, doctors, veterans, creatives…
And yet, they all had something in common—they still doubted themselves.

Despite their titles and talents, they were struggling with Imposter Syndrome—believing they didn’t belong, didn’t know enough, or weren’t “ready.”

So I created the Self-Discovery to Overcome Imposter Syndrome Journal
A reflection tool designed to help women hear their voice again, reclaim their confidence, and walk fully in their God-given identity.

✨ You don’t have to shrink in rooms you were meant to shift.

Origin Story: Why I Created This Journal

This journal came from me doing the personal work of really defining my niche—or as I like to say, my metron—the group I feel deeply called to serve. I took time to reflect on the clients who left me feeling elated after a session. The ones who showed up ready to do the work and committed to change, even when it was uncomfortable.

They came from all kinds of backgrounds—CEOs, creatives, ministry leaders—but they had one thing in common: they lacked the confidence and mindset to fully believe they were equipped to be in the very rooms they were already in. That stood out to me. Because from the outside looking in, these women were doing the thing. Accomplished. Brilliant. Educated. But on the inside, they were second-guessing every step.

It really hurts my heart. Because I could see what they couldn’t always see—that they were already enough. It grieves me that so many women don’t see themselves the way God sees them. They doubt the very fabric of who they authentically are.

So I created this journal as a safe place for that inner work—to confront the false narratives, reclaim truth, and walk boldly in your God-given identity. It’s more than pages and prompts. It’s a personal invitation to return to yourself.

What would I do if I trusted my voice?

Oh, the possibilities…

If you trusted your voice, would you apply for that job?
Launch that business?
Share that idea?
Speak up in that meeting?

The truth is, Imposter Syndrome has quieted your voice for far too long.
It convinces you to second-guess, to shrink, to stay silent—even when your intuition is loud and clear.

But what if you trusted your voice?

You’d apply for that job you’ve been dreaming about—even if it feels out of reach.
You’d start that business someone is literally waiting on to solve their problem.
You’d stop holding back that brilliant idea—the one that could shift a conversation, a company, maybe even a community.

Sometimes, trusting your voice isn’t just about you.
It’s about the people who need your leadership, your truth, your courage.

You’d say the thing others are thinking but too afraid to speak.
You’d become the creator, the visionary, the innovator—just like the people who invented the everyday tools we now take for granted.

It’s time to trust your voice.
God has already placed everything you need inside of you.
Now it’s time to move.
To build.
To speak.
To execute.
